Start reading the Bible
Choose a path you can sustain, then adjust it as you learn. Finishing quickly is not a requirement.
Choose a starting point
To explore the accounts of the life of Jesus, you can start with a Gospel. Mark offers a sixteen-chapter journey; John has twenty-one chapters. Reading a whole book in sequence helps you understand who is speaking, to whom and in what circumstances. An isolated verse cannot replace that context.
Make each session realistic
Choose the days you can read and a finish date. BibleMio distributes readings by chapter count. Chapters vary in length, and reflection takes a different amount of time for each reader. Reduce the number of chapters if sessions become too long.
Read attentively
Start with the whole passage. Write down a specific observation and a question. Distinguish the wording of the text from your interpretation. If an expression surprises you, read the surrounding paragraphs before comparing translations. Numbering can differ between editions.
Find a passage
Choose the language of the text first. Enter a reference such as John 3:16 or a few words you remember. Text search finds words; it does not provide an interpretation or invent verses. Check the reference and open the complete chapter.
Return after a break
Only mark sessions you have actually completed. Recalculate the plan to spread the remaining chapters over your available days. You can extend the finish date. Your reading tracker helps you resume; it does not measure your faith or the quality of your reading.
Keep your notes
Reader notes and progress stay in your browser. They are not synchronized between devices. Clearing browser data can erase them, so keep important notes elsewhere and export your reading plan.
